Fresh food vs. weeds vs. farmers markets. How do you determine what foods to store for your family? Can you do this yourself? Is paying more always getting more? We’ll begin by exploring all of your sources of food, from the supermarket, to your backyard, to the farm, and more. Then we’ll address each of the many ways to store food, including buying canned goods and retort pouches, dried foods, drying yourself, pickling, freezing, etc. Our basic principle is that you should buy what you already eat, and eat what you store. Join us for the class and the conversation that follows.
