“Everyday Found” — what’s that?

by Dude McLean

Most of us are familiar with the term “everyday carry.”  Well,  I want to talk about “everyday-found.” What is that? They are rocks and wood!

The late Paul Campbell wrote a book called “The Universal Tool  Kit” which is all about the use of rocks. Yes, rocks are the “tool kit“ found almost all over the world and you don’t have to carry them until you need them.  Use the rock, and drop it back to the ground.  You do not have to carry it.  We can make knives and all kinds of tools with rocks and stones. We can use them to cook with, and as a throwing weapon, and for just about anything else you can think of.

Wood is also found all over the world in many forms.  We can make weapons for hunting, build a shelter, and make many tools with wood. Fire is made with wood, and fire is a fine tool.

Yes, wood and rock make a great combo!
