NATIVE AMERICAN USES OF PLANTS

April 8, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$25.00 – $45.00

Thursday, April 8, 6  p.m.

NATIVE AMERICAN USES OF PLANTS.

Learn about the many plant contributions of Native Americans to our culture today – plants for food, medicine, and tools.   You’ll get to see these plants that are in many cases very common, and simply taken for granted, without generally recognition of their rich history.  This will be a botanical exploration of the many plants of the Americas that many of us still use today.

We begin with the many plants from the Americas which have profoundly affected the diet of the world.

Then we’ll look at many of the local native plants that have a long history of use by the indigenous peoples.
