In this class, Christopher describes the traditional use of acorns as an important food among the indigenous Californians, and you will get to see it all done from the very beginning! Acorns were the “staff of life” in the pre-contact days among the California peoples. Maybe you’ll consider adding this traditional food to your diet too!
The class shows how to shell, grind, sift, leach, test, and eventually make some pancakes from the just-processed acorns. References are also given. You get to watch Christopher do all the steps and explain it all. A great addition to your self-reliance home-study program.
