Description
SMOKES, SOAPS, & ROPES
In this unique class, we’ll share these three non-food plant-uses to meet many of our everyday needs. Christopher describes those plants which are used in the many ways of making fire in primitive methods, as well as the herbs (not tobacco) that are used in smoking pipes. The many natural soap plants are discussed, as well as the many plants used for fibre. Fibre’s role cannot be over-estimated, since fibre produces twine, rope, and that is then made into clothing, hats, sandals, nets, and hundreds of products used in traditional living.
This is a lively and interesting class where you see all these plants, and how they are used. A great addition to your self-reliance home-study program.
Approximately 1 ¾ hour class.
