HEALING WITH MEDICINAL HERBS OF THE WEST
FEATURING DR. JAMES ADAMS
This Class features Dr. James Adams, Chumash-trained herbalist, and author of Healing with Medicinal Plants of the West discussing native medicinal plants of the West, with some timely commentary on treating Covid-19. Dr. Adams retired from teaching pharmacology at USC in 2020. In this class, he shares his two decades of training in the subject of Chumash healing herbs, and he demonstrates how certain pain-relieving linaments are made.
You will get to see the specific herbs used in Chumash healing, and you will see how they are prepared for use. Some of the medicinal plants discussed are elderberry, California everlasting, white sage, black sage, California sagebrush, mugwort, prickly pear cactus, and more.
You will receive the formulas for the black sage foot wash, the California sagebrush liniment, and the prickly pear smoothie.
We’ll discuss some of the literature about healing with herbs, and Dr. Adams shares how most of these herbs can be grown in your own yard.
Following your purchase, you will be emailed a link to the class, which was recorded live.
