Most of our life we have heard that time is money. Well, I think the truth is that time is your
life and you can never get it back.
I try to use my time that benefits me in some manner. Most of my life a job just robbed me of my life by taking my time and the exchange was not very rewarding. In other words, not worth my time so a good part of my life I was self-employed. Sometimes I did not earn a great deal of money but I owned my time. My 25 years, give or take a few every Saturdays, I used my time going on Christopher’s plant walks, learning the uses of plants. I felt that was a good use of my time. The important thing is that I enjoyed it! Life is not just about learning. Life is also about relaxing and not being in a contest all the time.
Some folks are always at odds with everyone else. I feel this is not a good use of your life. I do not mean to get preachy here but to wake up thoughts in your mind to think about the time you might spend doing anything at all. When you are 90, will you look back and say, wow, I should have spent my time in a more wise manner? It is not always about money, or being better in your mind than the other guy. It is really the quality you have created by how you value your time. Think about that for at least a minute!
